About the Album
Judith Sephuma describes "One Word" (2015) in one word as "Afrofunk". She sings in Lingala, Portuguese, English and Pedi. She dabbles in rock and pop while maintaining her jazz essence. The album is called One Word because all the titles are one word: Belinda, Joy, Glory, Palesa, Satisfy, Uthando. No philosophical or deeper meaning. The album, produced by Mark Goliath, was recorded at Paris Studios overlooking the ocean in Fish Hoek, Cape Town, over two weeks.
